Despite taking place in the distant future with a host of bizarre characters and concepts, Futurama incorporated modern issues -- which was a flaw in the Comedy Central revival. The show's reflection on American politics proved to be a deep well of dark comedy. With absurd takes on the people in positions of power and the activists working against them, Futurama's version of politics was consistently creative, but could also be frequently disturbing.
