Earlier this year, Nvidia created an all-in-one app that merged GeForce Experience and Control Panel. Today, the GPU maker has announced a new beta update introducing new features, such as RTX Video Resolution, an easier way to download and install ChatRTX, and more.
In a blog post, Nvidia revealed that the update to its new app introduces many new features and tools. This beta update notably adds Display and RTX Video features via the GPU Control Center, allowing users to tweak things such as resolution and refresh rate on their connected displays.
The new beta update also adds RTX Video Super Resolution and RTX Video HDR. The former is a piece of tech Nvidia introduced last year, allowing RTX GPUs to upscale blurry YouTube videos up to 4K resolution. The latter adds new sliders for RTX HDR, allowing you to adjust peak brightness and saturation.
Another noteworthy feature introduced in the update is that the ChatRTX demo can be downloaded and installed inside the Nvidia app. Those unfamiliar with ChatRTX know that it is a tech demo app that lets RTX GPU owners run a personal AI chatbot locally from their computer instead of opening a web browser.
Nvidia's new app has resulted in massive quality-of-life improvements for Nvidia GPU owners. Aside from merging the GeForce Experience and Control Center apps into one whole app, the Nvidia app also provides a revamped overlay for GeForce Experience, a hub where users can easily access and download programs like Nvidia GeForce Now and Nvidia Broadcast, and does not require users to log in to install new GPU drivers or redeem rewards and bundles available.
