Battle shonen manga, especially those published in Weekly Shonen Jump, are supposed to have endless possibilities. Whether the setting is the real world or some fantastical land, the characters should have plenty of ways to fight each other. They can have superhuman biology, supernatural powers, or tools or weapons with strange abilities. They can do anything from shooting energy blasts to warping time and space. Some series even allow their characters to use more than one power, thus granting them versatility as well as strength. Whatever it is, those powers are extensions of the user that help them express what they're all about.
