Netflix's live-action One Piece faithfully brought the original manga/anime franchise's East Blue saga to life in spectacular fashion. Many factors went into making this live-action anime adaptation a resounding success, including some serious rewriting of the original story for the sake of pacing. That sometimes means omitting entire story arcs like Loguetown or writing out villains like Don Krieg.
