Death in superhero comics is a complicated thing. Between universe-destroying events, storylines with titles that promise character death, and the generally violent nature of superhero life, there are few characters who make it out alive. However, IP profitability and the ongoing nature of comic book universes means that characters rarely stay dead for long.
