Fall o X has taken the Krakoa Era and knocked it down a notch or a hundred. The most revolutionary take on the X-Men in ages, the Krakoa Era was always a ticking time bomb of sorts. The former head writer Jonathan Hickman designed the story to have a beginning, middle, and end. When Hickman left, fans assumed the Krakoan status quo would last longer. However, that's apparently not the case, because Orchis destroyed Krakoa and scattered the mutant race all over the world in X-Men: The Hellfire Gala (2023) #1 (by Gerry Duggan, Adam Kubert, Luciano Vecchio, Matteo Lolli, Russell Dauterman, Javier Pina, R.B. Silva, Joshua Cassara, Kris Anka, Pepe Larraz, Rain Beredo, Ceci De La Cruz, Matthew Wilson, Erick Arciniega, Marte Gracia, and Virtual Calligraphy) destroyed Krakoa and scattered the mutant race all over the world.
