As part of its Cyber Week Savings Event, Dell is offering the Alienware AW3423DWF 34" QD-OLED gaming monitor for only $799.99. That's $100 less than the previous lowest price we've seen and is currently the least expensive OLED gaming monitor you can get on Prime Day. The AW3423DWF is a quantum-dot OLED panel, which makes it one of the best monitors for both gaming and HDR content.
34" Alienware AW3423DWF QD OLED Gaming Monitor
The Alienware AW3423DWF is one of only two QD OLED gaming monitors that Dell sells. This 34" monitor sports a 3440x1440 WQHD resolution with a 1ms response time and 165Hz refresh rate. It uses a Samsung quantum dot OLED panel. This is the same panel found in the Samsung Odyssey G8, which is also on sale right now for $1000. Still, for $200 less, the AW3423DWF is a better value.
Quantum dot, or "QD", OLED panels are brighter than traditional OLED panels without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for. The AW3423DWF boasts a 99.3% DCI-P3 color range and is factory calibrated with a Delta E less than 2. It is HDR True Black 400 certified (which, by the way, is a higher rating than even HDR1400) and boasts up to 1,000nits of peak brightness.
If you're not looking for a true 4K monitor, this is one of the best monitors out there. A true 4K monitor requires a much more powerful video card. The ultrawide WQHD resolution is still very sharp but won't tax your system as heavily. You can get away with something like an RTX 4060 Ti or RTX 4070 GPU and still achieve perfectly playable framerates. At 4K resolution, we'd recommend at the very least a 4070 Ti and more likely a 4080, which is a lot more expensive.
