Imperials like the Grand Inquisitor disgraced the Jedi Order's legacy by disrespecting their dead, and the vile practice contributed to their eventual destruction. After Emperor Palpatine destroyed the Jedi Order, his Empire continued to use Inquisitors to hunt down the remaining Jedi. However, Star Wars Rebels showed that the Empire's cruelty wasn't limited to living Jedi alone.
