Friday the 13th is one of the oldest and most widely-known horror franchises. It's one of the first of its kind, establishing the summer camp slasher trope before movies like Sleepaway Camp and The Burning further popularized the concept. From the first movie's memorable Mrs. Voorhees twist to the highly-beloved, hockey mask-wearing Jason Voorhees, a lot has kept the franchise going through the decades. As such, it's not surprising that Blumhouse is eyeing Friday the 13th as its next adaptation target.
