More than a year after its launch, PlayStation's revamped PlayStation Plus service has been a huge success. The modern PlayStation Plus, which merged the original PlayStation Plus with the streaming PlayStation Now service, is broken down into three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. While all of PS Plus' tiers continue to provide players with online multiplayer access to games and monthly free titles, only the Extra and Premium tiers offer a catalog of games available to stream at no extra charge beyond the subscription price.
