It's a huge revelation for a franchise that usually sticks to a singular galaxy and promises many new worlds to explore. Of course, galaxies are very far apart from each other, and Peridea is no different. It requires such an immense amount of power to get to — a normal hyperdrive won't cut it. Morgan Elsbeth's ship has hyperdrives from many Super Star Destroyers, which can generate a huge amount of power, but this is unheard of in the galaxy at large.
