In 1972, Jack Kirby and DC Comics unveiled what would arguably become the best DC adventure series of the Bronze Age: Kamandi: The Last Boy On Earth. Set in a distant future, the series followed Kamandi and his companions across a new America dominated by humanoid animals like lions and tigers. While it was and still is an intriguing and entertaining world, its weird and tenuous connection to the DCU has doomed it to a life of obscurity.
