The age of the DC Extended Universe is rapidly coming to an end, with James Gunn's new DC Universe poised to take over in the years to come. With only one film left in the original DCEU, December's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the DCU is officially set to begin with 2025's Superman: Legacy, starring David Corenswet as the eponymous superhero. The exciting new film, which will be written and directed by Gunn himself, kicks off the first stage of the DCU, entitled "Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters," which will hopefully set up a long and prosperous franchise.
