James Strand was a longtime collector of fantasy and horror literature, as well as a major Golden Age comics collector. He passed away at the end of July, just shy of his 88th birthday, leaving behind a remarkable collection of comics, books and other memorabilia. Tragically, following his death, nearly his entire collection was stolen, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has gotten involved in hunting down the stolen works, and Heritage Auctions, who Strand used frequently over the years, is doing its part to help, as well.
