Fall Of X has basically done exactly what it promised right off the bat. The X-Men had their yearly Hellfire Gala in X-Men: The Hellfire Gala #1, but there were gatecrashers — the Orchis Initiative. While the X-Men dealt with the brushfires of the Krakoa Era, Orchis was preparing themselves for one apocalyptic showdown, one which would behead Krakoa's power and give them the power to end the mutant island nation.
