Universes Beyond is a recently created sub-brand of Magic: the Gathering. They combine various IPs with the mechanics and gameplay of Magic. These cards come in many forms, from smaller Secret Lair drops to entire dedicated sets; the first Universes Beyond to be released was the Secret Lair The Walking Dead cards in 2020. The first set of pre-constructed decks was for Warhammer 40,000 in 2022 and the first overall set was The Lord of the Rings: Tales from Middle-Earth in early 2023. To the interest of many, the latest set (available in October 2023) will be for the iconic franchise Doctor Who.
