Andor, Obi-Wan, and More Disney+ Shows on 4K Blu-ray Are Up for Preorder

Here’s some good news for physical media collectors: a new batch of Disney+ shows is available for preorder at Walmart. You can secure copies of the first season the Star Wars shows Andor and the complete series of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Also up for preorder are the Marvel shows Moon Knight and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. They’re available in both 4K UHD and standard Blu-ray formats, and are set to release April 30. They come packaged in awesome collector’s edition steelbook cases, along with concept art cards and a range of behind-the-scenes extras. Let’s take a look.

New Disney+ Shows in 4K UHD

While Walmart is currently the only retailer to have these up for preorder, I expect them to go live at Amazon and potentially Target before too long as well. Don't expect to see them at Best Buy, however, as that particular retailer has bid adieu to physical copies of TV and movies.

For more info about what's included in each set, as well as links to the Blu-ray versions, read on.

Andor: The Complete First Season

Unfortunately, the 4k UHD version of Andor: The Complete First Season is already out of stock at Walmart. It will likely come back into stock -- or at very least, it will be available at other retailers as soon as the listings go up. However, the Blu-ray version is still in stock at Walmart.

For my money, Andor is the best Star Wars release since The Empire Strikes Back. This first season collection comes with all 12 episodes spread across three discs. Also included are a number of behind-the-scenes featurettes, as listed below.

Bonus Features

  • Ferrix Part 1: Imperial Occupation - Tony Gilroy, Kathleen Kennedy and Diego Luna discuss the series’ origins.
  • Aldhani: Rebel Heist - Join the shoot in Scotland with character spotlights, rebel training, stunts, a VFX breakdown and more.
  • Coruscant: Whispers of Rebellion - Explore the stories of ISB agent Dedra, Senator Mon Mothma and spymaster Luthen Rael.
  • Narkina 5: One Way Out - Uncover the Empire’s penal system and the prison’s stark look, get to know Kino Loy, and view VFX breakdowns.
  • Ferrix Part 2: Fight the Empire - Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna, cast and crew reveal the making of the season finale.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Complete Series

This is all the Obi-Wan we’re going to get, so this collection comprises the entire mini-series. It comes with all six episodes on two discs, plus a number of bonus extras.

Bonus Features

  • Duels of Fate: Obi-Wan vs Vader - Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen examine the lightsaber battles of Obi-Wan and Darth Vader.
  • The Dark Times: Villains - Uncover the lore of the deadly Inquisitors, and Darth Vader’s iconic look.
  • Designing The Galaxy - Say hello to Leia’s lovable sidekick, Lola, then explore the new planets of the Star Wars galaxy.
  • Director’s Commentary - Join director Deborah Chow for an exclusive audio commentary on the action-packed finale.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Complete First Season

This season comes on two discs that include all six episodes of the season, plus a number of featurettes, behind-the-scenes extras, deleted scenes, and a gag real.

Bonus Features

  • Cap’s Shield
  • Assembled: The Making of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Gag Reel

Moon Knight: The Complete First Season

The first season of Moon Knight is collected here, with all six episodes spanning two discs. Also included are a handful of extras, listed below.

Bonus Features

  • Egyptology - Oscar Isaac, Egyptologist Ramy Romany, and more explore the mythology that helped inspire the series.
  • Assembled: The Making of Moon Knight - Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, cast and crew reveal how the series was brought to life.
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Gag Reel

While anyone with a Disney+ subscription can stream these shows at the moment, you really never know when one might go away in the current streaming landscape. Things are changing all the time, and there’s no guarantee for digital shows. That’s one good reason to collect your favorites in physical formats. Another is that these are just cool-looking sets packaged in steelbook cases with great art.

Other Disney+ Shows in 4K

These upcoming releases follow the initial batch of Disney+ shows getting physical releases. Those include the first two seasons of The Mandalorian, plus the first season of Loki and the complete series of WandaVision.
