Jingle All the Way (and Terminator) star Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning to Christmas comedies in The Man With the Bag from Amazon MGM Studios.
As reported by Deadline, Schwarzenegger will be joined by Reacher star Alan Ritchson in a film directed by Hairspray's Adam Shankman, with a script by The Modern Witch's Allan Rice. It's unclear if The Man With the Bag will be released in time for the 2024 holidays, however, as Deadline said it aims to shoot later this year.
"When Santa’s magic bag is stolen, he turns to his naughty list to find Vance, a former thief, to help him get it back," the film's official synopsis reads. "Along with his daughter, Santa, and a group of misfit elves, Vance will have to pull off the greatest heist of his life to save Christmas."

No roles have been confirmed yet but Schwarzenegger will seemingly play Santa with Ritchson playing Vance.
The announcement comes soon after Schwarzenegger made an appearance at the Oscars, presenting the Best Visual Effects awards with his Twins co-star Danny DeVito. The two threw out jokes about the "very obvious reason" they were presenting together: "We both tried to kill Batman."
DeVito played Penguin in 1992's Batman Returns and Schwarzenegger portrayed Mr. Freeze in 1997's Batman & Robin, and the pair made faux threats to the former's Batman, Michael Keaton, who was sitting in the audience.
