The Creator may have seemed like any other science fiction movie if it released in another time, but its AI concept is particularly topical now. Featuring a war between humanity and seemingly rogue artificial intelligence, the movie comes out during a period in which filmmaking and society in general will be heavily impacted by AI. Unfortunately, this unintentionally prescient premise also feels a bit wrongheaded.
