While we don't know much about Matt Reeves' The Batman - Part II, the director did confirm at San Diego Comic-Con that Colin Farrell will return as The Penguin.
Speaking at SDCC's The Penguin panel, Reeves shared that shooting for The Batman - Part II will begin next year and that they need to have Farrell's character in a "certain place for that." We already knew The Penguin would lead into the events of The Batman - Part II, but this is the first time Farrell was 100% confirmed to make it out into the events of the sequel.

The Penguin kicks off just a week after the events of The Batman, and SDCC gave us a new look at the dangerous world of Gotham and the drug war that is tearing up its streets. Cristin Milioti's Sofia Falcone aka The Hangman also took center stage and showed off that she may be the most dangerous character of them all.
The Penguin will run for eight episodes and will make its debut on Max on September 19, 2024. As for where this series sits in the world of DC, it lives outside of the new DCU and exists in Matt Reeves' own 'Batman Epic Crime Saga."
The Batman - Part II is set to be released in theaters on October 2, 2026, and will be the second part of a trilogy starring Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight. Alongside this trilogy, DC fans also have the DCU's own Batman film - The Brave and the Bold - to look forward to in the future.
