A lot of imaginative and creative settings have come out of the mind of Neil Gaiman over the years. However, none have been more terrifying and intriguing than his novella Coraline. Adapted as a stop-motion animation film by Henry Selick and Laika Studios in 2009, the story introduced Coraline Jones, a bored and feisty 11-year-old trying to get her workaholic parents' attention after the family moves from Michigan to Oregon. She receives a button-eyed ragdoll from Wyborne, the landlady's grandson, which bears a striking resemblance to Coraline. When the doll begins to guide Coraline to a mysterious door in her apartment with a brick wall behind it, things take an eerie turn.
