Since its breakout hit movie Iron Man in 2008, the MCU has ascended to the spot of perhaps Hollywood's most profitable venture in its long history. Known for its humor, great effects, and brilliant characters, the franchise has become an icon in modern cinema. Yet, the franchise has its fair share of dark scenes, some even darker than its cousin franchise, the DCEU. Having raked in tens of billions of dollars at the box office, these movies presented fans with live-action adaptations of the classic superheroes found in Marvel Comics and some have surprising twists.
