Amazon is offering the 77" 2023 LG B3 4K OLED Smart TV for only $1796.99. This is one of the best prices we've seen for a 77" LG OLED TV, especially when you consider the fact that the LG B3 is a 2023 model that supports 4K @ 120Hz gaming over HDMI 2.1. At this price it's $700 cheaper than the C3 even though the image quality between the two is nearly identical.
77" LG B3 4K OLED Smart TV for $1796.99
The LG B3 offers a better value than the C3 for both gamers and TV watchers alike. Compared to the C3, the B3 is equipped with an older processor, lower peak brightness levels, and two HDMI 2.1 ports instead of four. That's not that much of a difference for a TV that's currently $700 cheaper than the C3. The B3 still utilizes a true OLED panel that boasts near infinite response time and contrast ratio and perfect black levels. This is a fantastic TV for streaming 4K HDR movies and TV shows at the best possible image quality imaginable.
Fortunately, the LG B3 also has all the features you'd want in a future-proofed gaming TV. The B3 has a true 120Hz panel and HDMI 2.1 ports for running 4K at 120Hz on a PS5 or Xbox Series X gaming console. It also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM). The only difference here between the B3 and C3 are the number of HDMI 2.1 ports (the C3 has 4 and the B3 has 2). The B3 also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM).
Right now the 77" LG C3 model costs $2500 on Amazon. Is it a better TV? Sure it is, but is it worth the $700 surcharge? Definitely not. The LG B3 is still one of the best TVs out there, and if it was between this TV and another non-OLED TV in this same price bracket, the decision, at least to me, would be obvious.
