The Legend of Zelda series has never been distinctly known for its storytelling. In fact, in the earliest days of the series, the first few games didn't have much in the way of a story at all. Even so, Zelda's lore and world-building were great enough to carry those games on their own, giving rise to some of the most iconic characters and settings in gaming history.
