One of the best deals of Black Friday and Cyber Monday has returned. Both variants of the Asus ROG Ally Windows-based handheld gaming PCs are back on sale for their lowest prices yet, including the faster version with its Z1 Extreme processor and the more affordable version with the standard Z1 CPU. Prices start at $349.99 (was $499.99) at Best Buy. For the faster version, the cost goes up to $499.99 at Best Buy (was $649.99). In terms of screen quality, you can’t go wrong with either model, as they each have 7-inch 1080p screens capable of up to a 120 Hz refresh rate in games that support it.

While I love my Steam Deck, the ROG Ally has continued to reign as my handheld of choice largely due to its native Windows compatibility, which allows it to play games from any PC game platform, be it Steam, PC Game Pass, the Epic Games Store, Battle.net, and more. Despite being succeeded by the $799.99 ROG Ally X, which features more RAM, a better screen, and longer battery life, the original Ally still has plenty of juice to run a massive catalog of games.

If you’d like to give this handheld some additional protection, my favorite protective case for the ROG Ally, the Dbrand Killswitch, is still on sale for its Black Friday price.
