It's no secret that Sega's foray into the console-manufacturing market ultimately ended in failure. Despite proving to be a formidable rival to Nintendo during the console wars of the early '90s, Sega never reached the same level of success with its later systems. Each of the company's following consoles seemed to sell worse than the last, culminating in Sega leaving the market entirely after the disastrous commercial performance of the Dreamcast. However, while most of the company's failed consoles eventually garnered attention for their abundance of cult classics, most people have unfortunately forgotten Sega's most impressive system.
