Dwarves are a classic fantasy staple. Alongside elves and orcs, they're one of the three races that seem to pop up in nearly every fantasy setting. Dungeons and Dragons is a prime example with Dwarves being one of the core races players can play straight out of the Player's Handbook when they start the game. Dwarves also have a presence in pop culture as well, with games like Deep Rock Galactic, The Warhammer 40,000 Leagues of Votann, and the dwarves from Dwarf Fortress getting a lot more attention recently. There's now plenty of variety in the kinds of dwarves we see in games and media, so players and dungeon masters may want their dwarves to have a similar unique flavor.
