Aside from Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader is the face of the Star Wars franchise, and the Sith Lord has had plenty of iconic moments off the screen and within the pages of Marvel and Dark Horse's comic books. These comics used the strengths of telling supplementary stories to the movies, expanding greatly upon the villain's characterization before and during the Prequel Trilogy.
