An important part of so many gamers' childhoods, Flash games (games that ran off of Adobe Flash) were the most accessible video games that one could find in the early 2000s. If there was a computer with internet connection, Flash games were only a click or two away, and for the most part, they were completely free. The announcement that Adobe would be "killing off" Flash at the end of 2020 was met with widespread devastation among people for whom these games had defined their adolescence.
