The Flying Tile is an echo in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Regardless of whether you plan to use it or not, it’s also required for those looking to complete every side quest, as the “The Flying Tile” quest has you source one as its one and only objective.
As the name implies, this object flies over the ground, and serves as a useful way to get across horizontal gaps — so useful, in fact, we’ve named it one of the best echoes you can use in the game.
We’ll detail the titular quest from Echoes of Wisdom, as well as the Flying Tile Echo location, below.
Flying Tile location in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
The Flying Tile Echo can be found in several places, but the easiest location is within the Gerudo Sanctum dungeon.
Specifically, go to the dungeon’s first waypoint — this is found on the second floor, just after the initial side-scrolling area from where you first enter — and then go one room west, to this room:
You’ll immediately be bombarded with flying tiles as soon as you enter. To learn the echo, just press the ZR button when the prompt appears. If you miss grabbing any before they all shatter, just leave the room and re-enter to try again.
How to start and complete ‘The Flying Tile’ quest
“The Flying Tile” side quest can be found within the Gerudo Desert Oasis, by talking to this specific character next to a body of water in the middle of the area:
If you have the Flying Tile Echo already, then you simply need to use it in front of them. Otherwise, learn it from the location listed earlier, and return. You’ll receive 50 rupees as your reward for completing the quest.
