Star Wars: Ahsoka fans have uncovered a secret message after translating some runes featured in the premiere, offering a potential clue to the plot of Season 2.

Screen Rant shared an image of the Arcana runes from Ahsoka's two-episode premiere, which debuted on Disney+ in August last year, along with the message that fans have now deciphered and posted on Reddit. The translated letters reveal a rhyme that might hint at the show's future, given that Season 2 is in the works.

"Three there were who made the journey, without whose knowledge there is no returning," reads the message. "A pathway connecting near and far, across the heavens star to star. Despite great powers which do object, this secret way the three protect. So heed the path with a watchful eye, for if you wander you will die."

The author of the Reddit post and people in the comments section immediately started speculating about what the riddle could mean, particularly who "The Three" refers to, with popular suggestions being the ancient and villainous Great Mothers, the Force wielders stranded on Peridea, and the much-talked-about Mortis Gods.

Baylan Skoll discovered the Mortis Gods monuments at the end of Ahsoka's finale, as he stood atop a set of giant stony statues depicting the Ones — a family of Force gods comprising the Son (who represents the dark side of the Force), the Daughter (resembling the light side), and the Father (a balance between the two).

A piece of Ahsoka Season 2 concept art later revealed Ahsoka and Sabine standing on the outstretched finger of the Father statue, leading some to believe that those two characters will go on to follow Baylan's trail and find out more about his journey, which became one of the most talked-about subjects in the first season.

There's no release window for Ahsoka Season 2 yet, but the series likely won't return before late 2025 at the soonest. There are, however, plenty of other Star Wars shows in the pipeline. Next up is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, debuting on December 3, which recently unveiled its first trailer, followed by Andor Season 2 next year.
