Full SPOILERS ahead for WandaVision!

One of the questions left unanswered after Marvel’s WandaVision ended in 2021 was the identity of FBI Agent Jimmy Woo’s missing witness. In this exclusive deleted scene from the release of WandaVision Collector’s Edition on 4K Ultra HD Steelbook and Blu-ray Steelbook on November 28th, IGN can reveal who exactly that person was.

In this exclusive deleted scene titled “Ankle Bracelet” – which can be viewed via the player above or the embed below – Woo (played by Randall Park) is wrapping up his investigation into the magical happenings that went down in Westview, New Jersey.

You’ll recall that Agent Woo was only in Westview because he was tracking down a witness who went missing from the Witness Protection Program. Woo initially suspected that his witness had “flown the coop” until discovering that their known associates and relatives now inexplicably had never even heard of him.

In this deleted scene, Woo tells a fellow agent that they still need to locate their missing witness because he needs to testify in court. Woo says the witness should be easier to spot now that everything is back to normal.

After Woo and the other FBI agent exit the scene, we see that the missing witness is Ralph Bohner (played by Evan Peters), confirming a longtime fan theory. The series’ final episode revealed Bohner’s true identity and that he had been under the spell of Agatha Harkness, who used him to pose as Wanda’s late speedster brother Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver.

Some fans were miffed that Peters’ Quicksilver was not his character from the X-Men films but rather some rando with a penis joke for a name. WandaVision’s head writer, Jac Schaeffer, told IGN in March 2021 that the show’s intent was never to trick fans by using Peters.

“We didn't want it to just be a gimmick and just be a gag because that's no good, so there were several things in play,” Schaeffer said. “First, this is the meta-ist meta-show in the meta-verse. It's just meta, meta, meta, and so it complemented the overall tone and aesthetic of the show in this uber way, so that felt very right and great for the identity of the show.

“But more than that, it was really about what's happening in Wanda's head and the idea that someone could show up and not look like her brother and that she would accept it. What's going on with her in terms of her denial, and her self-doubt, and her disorientation that Agatha could trick her in this way? We wanted to feel that very viscerally and it seemed like an incredible opportunity for the audience to feel it too with this meta-level of casting, with all of their associations to Evan in this other space [Fox’s X-Men movies]. The idea of doing it with just any other actor, I'm like, ‘That's not going to land.’ That's not going to have the same thrill, and craziness, and questions, and be as disorienting, and so that was so much of what it was about for us.”
