Pixar's Soul is headed to theaters for the first time in the U.S. this weekend after debuting on Disney+ in 2020. Soul is one of three pandemic-era movies Pixar is releasing theatrically for the first time in 2024 — the other two being Turning Red and Luca. IGN's Soul review, published alongside its Disney+ release, said the movie "offers food for thought and has heart, [but] it’s never quite as funny, engrossing, or emotionally rewarding as Pixar’s best."
