For years, the anime community was convinced that no live-action adaptation would ever do justice to an anime series. Finally, in 2023, that unofficial "curse" was broken with the live-action One Piece series on Netflix. This show has the benefit of author Eiichiro Oda's personal involvement, some great writing, and outstanding production values to make it the pirate adventure of a lifetime for all fans.
