The season finale of The Boys spinoff Gen V sees its protagonist, Marie Moreau, finally reclaim her powers by using the same technique that killed her parents to fight off her enemy. Throughout the season, Marie is desperate to seek out her sister, having been separated after Marie came into her powers and accidentally killed their parents. To prove to her sister that her powers weren't inherently evil, Marie wanted to be a hero, but the finale finally gives her a satisfying ending to this arc as she realizes she needs to overcome her fear of herself and what she's capable of. After using her blood powers for mostly a sort of blood lasso, Marie sees her enemy getting away and finally throws aside the horror of her parents' accidental death, forming the blood of the dead around her into spikes and sending them toward the getaway helicopter.
