God of War and Ragnarök from Sony and Santa Monica Studio rejuvenated the PlayStation franchise and brought Kratos and his lore from classic Greek mythology into Norse legend. Ragnarök tied up many of the loose ends from the narrative, but the success of the soft reboot has ensured that Sony isn't going to want to leave the franchise dormant again. Plans are being put in place for what comes next, but there are sure to be debates about how that should look. There's a lot of potential in the God of War series and audiences simply haven't got enough of Kratos yet.
