The new trailer for Ahsoka promises Grand Admiral Thrawn's arrival in a live-action Star Wars project for the first time. With him come a number of expectations about Timothy Zahn's famous trilogy of novels named after him, and how much of their beloved-yet-non-canon content the new series will reveal. The trailer hints strongly that more surprises from the novels are on their way, to the point where Ahsoka herself declares Thrawn "heir to the Empire," in reference to the first part of the trilogy.
