There are parents out there who are younger than Pokémon. It's the highest-grossing media franchise in the world and enjoyed by people of all ages. While the childlike adventure is part of the charm, some adult fans have felt that they've grown out of the series. While the incessantly overcomplicated metagame definitely is something that grown-ups find easier to navigate than the target demographic, older fans have often wished that the storytelling was a little more appealing to them as well. But if the world of Pokémon is so appealing because of the innocent wonder the colorful adventures evoke, how would a Pokémon game for older audiences look? Would it even work at all?
