For every set of Avengers the Marvel Universe has to offer, there is usually an opposing team of superpowered villains waiting to be found. Of course, few villainous teams have made the same impression as their heroic counterparts and only a handful truly stood out over the years. Out of these, Thanos' Black Order might very well be Marvel's most powerful and iconic cosmic monsters, although the Avengers' latest foes, The Ashen Combine, are already on their way toward usurping both of those titles after only a few short appearances.
