Freeform takes a bold step into adult animation with its new original series Praise Petey, created by former Saturday Night Live head writer Anna Drezen. The show follows wide-eyed girl-boss Petey St. Barts as she inherits the leadership of her late father's cult somewhere in the American South, ready to move the cult away from its more murderous and morally questionable traditions. Despite Petey's best efforts, her inexperience after living in the big city and some of the more practical elements of this strange society complicate her attempts to reform the cult.
