The X-Men's Krakoa Era has been the most fruitful era for the team since Grant Morrison took over the rechristened New X-Men. The whole thing started hopefully, with the X-Men creating a mutant nation and finally taking power for themselves in the world. However, these are X-Men comics, so things have to get pretty dark. Marvel would never allow the X-Men to get a moment where the world isn't trying to destroy them.
