The second Five Nights at Freddy's trailer is here, and it offers an even closer look at Blumhouse's vision for the creepy animatronic puppets made famous on Twitch and elsewhere.
Freddy, Chica, and the gang take center stage in the new trailer, where they harrass security guard Mike Schmidt [Josh Hutcherson], commit murders, and spend a lot of time glaring out of the dark with their frightening red eyes. Take a look at the slideshow below for our full gallery of still shots.
More and more Five Nights at Freddy's movie info has been emerging since May, when Blumhouse released the film's first trailer. It's been a difficult path to this point for the anticipated horror adaptation, having gone through multiple directors and scripts. Creator Scott Cawthon is among those heavily involved with the project.
Five Nights at Freddy's is based on the popular game series of the same name, which was first released back in 2014. The series has seen several follow-ups since, as well as many, many fangames, but the movie has been a long time coming.
In an earlier interview with IGN, Jason Blum talked about how he was "made fun of" for pursuing Five Nights at Freddy's. He also said that he wants to make more horror films based on games.
We'll see whether Blum's risk with Five Nights at Freddy's pays off when it releases October 27.
