Magic: the Gathering is experiencing a massive shakeup in its lore and story. Previously, only planeswalkers and a few rare exceptions could transport themselves through the planes. In the wake of March of the Machines, several portals between worlds called "omenpaths" have been opened. Originating on Kaldheim, omenpaths have been spread to many of the Magic planes by the invasion of the phyrexian-corrupted world tree.
