The long-awaited Star Wars series Lando, starring Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, is now being developed as a movie, IGN has confirmed.
Stephen Glover, Donald Glover’s brother and co-writer on the project, first revealed the news in an appearance on the Pablo Torre Finds Out show.
“It’s not even a show…the idea right now is to do a movie,” he said. “Right now, because of the strike its kinds of like telephone all of the information.”
IGN has also confirmed with a source close to the production that it is indeed being developed as a feature film. IGN's source adds, however, that this has been the case for some time, as Disney is not currently negotiating with the Glovers amid the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
