Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball has experienced unimaginable success that’s kept the heightened battle shonen series relevant for the better part of four decades. Dragon Ball has made tremendous strides as a manga, anime, and series of feature films. However, the franchise wouldn’t be where it is today without the many Dragon Ball Z video games that kept fandom alive during the manga and anime’s “dark years.” There have been over 50 Dragon Ball Z video games across multiple systems that both recap the series’ events and tell original stories.
