Microsoft has shown off its Fable reboot once more, this time with a new trailer during its Xbox Showcase event.
Alongside a new look at Playground Games' upcoming reboot in the Fable franchise, we also learned that fans do not have to wait too long to play it, as Fable is set to release sometime next year. "What does it mean to be a Hero? Well, in the fairytale land of Albion, that is entirely up to you," Fable's product listing reads. "With a dark threat looming, and in a world where your reputation precedes you, your choices will change Albion forever."
Playground’s revival of the much-loved fantasy role-playing game series was announced in 2020 as a “new beginning.” 2023’s Xbox Game Showcase then gave us a better idea of what to expect with a reveal courtesy of The IT Crowd's Richard Ayoade.
This reboot is the first mainline Fable game since 2010's Fable 3 and one of Xbox Game Studios' biggest upcoming titles. Check out everything announced at the Xbox Games Showcase for more on what Microsoft has coming out the rest of 2024 and beyond.
