Ancient Egypt has long captured the imagination of people across the globe. Yu-Gi-Oh is one of the more interesting examples of the use of Ancient Egypt in that pretty much everything that happens in the first series relates back to the civilization For centuries, the mysteries of the long gone civilization have led to multiple stories and forms of media being set in or directly related to the myriad of artifacts and writings left behind. It also happens to be the ancient civilization that is the least understood with much of its culture taken out of context or misinterpreted for the sake of the plot.
