Upcoming Marvel Studios movie The Marvels is the sequel to the 2019 movie Captain Marvel, as well as tying into the events of WandaVision and Ms. Marvel. Despite the financial success of the first movie, however, it seems that the sequel will not be nearly as big at the box office. This begs the question of how the sequel should have been handled, and it ironically leads back to one of Marvel's most maligned projects.
