Netflix has released the final trailer for the live action Avatar: The Last Airbender ahead of its premiere on February 22.

The trailer opens with a focus on the Avatar State, showing former Avatar Kiyoshi enter the all-powerful mode alongside what appears to be a flashback scene where Aang triggers the state underwater.

We then see various cuts seemingly from all throughout the show, with Aang, Katara, and Sokka in the dusty village of Kiyoshi Island, the extravagant city of the Northern Water Tribe, and the towering mountain on which Omashu is built.

The Avatar State continues to dominate the trailer later, showing Aang lose control of it in a scene very familiar to fans of the original animated series. Another reel of clips are shown, highlighting the various bending — the manipulation of natural elements like fire and air — present in the show.

While fans were once starved for Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action content, as the adaptation was announced way back in 2018 and didn't really materialise again until 2023, Netflix has shared plenty of it in the last few months.

It stars Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio Tarbell as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko, and Paul Sun-Hyungas as Uncle Iroh . Netflix shared a first look Aang in friends in June 2023 before revealing the Fire Nation characters in October.

This was followed by several clips and trailers, like this one showing Zuko and Iroh fighting earth benders or a featurette on bringing the Avatar world to life, alongside a huge interview with IGN where the producers made clear "this is a remix, not a cover".

Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelance reporter. He'll talk about The Witcher all day.
