On the surface, Virgin River appears to be a homely, feel-good show, but it goes much deeper than that. Based on the books by Robyn Carr, this Netflix show revolves around Mel, a nurse practitioner who comes to the small town to escape her grief. However, the scenic little community is full of drama, mysteries, secrets, and lots of history, which Mel becomes a part of almost immediately.
